Lots Of Thanksgiving Resources To Kick Off The Month For Shannon's Favorite Finds!

It's November and time to think about Thanksgiving and the holidays.

Let's kick off this month by sharing resources we are thankful for and ones that can be used within our libraries, schools and homes this Thanksgiving season.
I pulled together Thanksgiving stories, songs, craft ideas, recipes, interactive websites, poetry, project ideas, lesson plans and much more into the Thanksgiving Resources for Librarians and Teachers Collection by Destiny.

This is a public Collection and can be share with anyone.

In fact, sharing a Collection is a terrific way to extend learning for families over Thanksgiving break and to initiate collaboration between you and other teachers.
Let's take a look at a few of the resources within the Thanksgiving Collection.

One of my favorite things to share with students and teachers are books, of course.

In fact, my friends at Follett created a very special Thanksgiving Titlewave List full of books that are perfect for the holiday.
Your students and teachers will learn so much in this new interactive experience Surviving Plymouth from National Geographic.

It is amazing to recall the history within this experience.
Cantata Learning has a new story and song called Thanksgiving Day.  You can share it from above.

Your students can learn more about this special day as they sing along.

You will find this one in Titlewave too.
And this post from our friends at Buncee is an amazing way to bring creativity and technology to Thanksgiving too.

I know you will love 5 Buncee Activities for a Thankful Classroom and think of lots of your own ideas too.

What Thanksgiving resources are your favorite?  Please share them with me in the comments below or by using #FavoriteFindsFriday and I will add it to the Thanksgiving Resources Collection.

Enjoy your month and holiday season, friends.
